Night of the Cat
One of my very first designs when I started selling patterns. It is the classic of a cat silhouette looking out the window at a night sky. Hooked by Nancy Miller. 21″x 30″.

Tiger Cat
Again, an early pattern based on my son’s drawing of our pet cat. When I asked him why the cat had such a long tail he said, “because it does!” 18″x33

Small Night of the Cat
A pillow size version of the pattern ‘Night of the Cat’. 16″ sq.

Squirrel with Berries
I was intrigued by the shape of a honey jar to add a pattern that was an octagon. A very fun design to hook in fall colors with the accent of bright berries. 27″ oct

Tea time
I love drinking tea! It must come from the time I worked in England and one of my duties was to serve tea for guests of the summer house. Old-fashioned tea cozies are another favorite. I imagine the cat’s favorite flavor is catnip with two sugar cubes. 13″x15″

Sheep and Friend
A great profile shape of a sheep with its companion, a black bird. A whimsical pair that are quick to hook. This piece was hooked by Marne Close of Kansas. 16″x18″

Scottie Plaid
Originally designed for a special friend that owned a Scottie and a Westie. The plaid makes the border adding that touch of Scotland and its tartans. Hooked by Barbara Carroll. 23″x45″.

Scottie Chairpad
A companion to “Scottie Plaid.” A smaller size for a gift for that special dog-lover. 14″ rd.

Night of the Coyote
Love the southwestern-look? You can have lots of fun making a desert sky with the full moon and its howling companion. It is your option to include the stars as a special accent. 14.5″x32″.

McGregor’s Garden
One of my first hooked rugs. If you use gray for the rabbit you might want to over-wash your grays with a warm dye. (It helps to soften the look of the coldness of gray.) I used mahogany and then repeated a similar color in the thistles in the border. 22″x25″.

Coming to Dinner
This rug was actually based on a photo of a friend’s cat sitting at their breakfast table. I added the “cat’s tail” border that was inspired by a piece of black wrought iron. 30″x39″.

Prairie Fox
The Prairie Fox is one of the patterns featured in “The Rug Hook Book” by Thomas Boswell. The rug was inspired by a fox that pranced through Eden Prairie, MN, on a regular basis . This is one of my most prized designs. It is also available in a winter version. 27″x54″.
Linen @ $95 + S/H
Stafford and Shine
A special design for those hookers who love antiques. The rug is based on the famous decorative images of matching dogs..sometimes joined by a metal chain. The animals are sitting on a braided rug with a coordinating hit-or-miss border. Hooked by Dick LaBarge. 28″x38″.

Miss Martha
Portrait of the “quilt cat” that lives at Eagle Creek Quilt Shop in Shakopee, MN. Miss Martha is now a full-sized cat that sleeps in her special bed in the shop’s classroom. As shown, she has her own quilt that adorns her sleeping quarters. 14″.

Winter Fox
Identical in size to the Prairie Fox. Instead of the fall scene with leaves in the border…. snow drifts, pine trees, and stars are featured. Hooked by Linda Petach. 27″x45″.
Linen @ $95 + S/H
Small Runner
This rug is loosely based on a horse weather vane seen on the top of a neighbor’s horse barn. I was experimenting with an uneven finished edge. It is an easily accomplished look for an eye-catching table runner. 14″x25″.
Linen @ $49 + S/H
Small Night of the Coyote
A smaller version of the southwestern design. Hooked by Victoria Ingalls. 17″x20″.

The Stag
Hooked as a top for a cricket stool. Oval shape, but can be easily changed to a rectangle. 9″x13″.
Linen @ $43 + S/H
Painted Pony
The horse shape was taken from an original leather child’s toy. The painted “hand” on the rump was a Native American symbol used to mark a horse. 10″x14″.

Rag Doll Cats
Capture some of the sweetest looking cats that you can find. The faces say it all! Wonderful to hook if you own a Rag Doll or have always wanted to own one….or two! 22″ x 32″.

Australian Crocodile
Inspired by an Australian “dream painting.” Designed for and hooked by Nola Heidbreder. 18″x48.

Westie on the Run
This design commemorates my West Highland Terrier, Dickens. As his moniker implies, when you called his name he ran in the opposite direction! This rug (with ball and person) was a special order. Normally the design is drawn with the dog and the house only. 20″ x 34″ This was hooked by Jackie Albrecht, MN.
